The Non-Filters: Lies n Controversy

The End - January 11, 2017

The Non-Filters are no longer a band.

New Album Almost Complete - May 1, 2016

The new yet to be titled Non-Filters record is in the final stages of overdubbing.  Mixing will begin soon.  Expect to hear things you have never heard before.  The band reportedly will be continuing their sessions to begin recording the follow-up album to this one immediately, while producer, Shifty Caldwell, works on the mixing process.  Some of the new songs will likely be debuted live at the May 28th show at SEC Pub, and others at The Non-Filters "Tunnel Vision 2016" fan appreciation party at the Sadler Compound.  Stay tuned.

S-E-C Pub Show - March 27, 2016

The Non-Filters are gonna make good on their promise to return to live performance April 2, 2016 at The S-E-C Sports Pub. The lineup of the band has yet to be confirmed,  but it will be tight.

Lee Sadler - December 1, 2015

Lee Sadler has turned in his resignation to The Non-Filters touring band.  He says he will still record with the band and would like to do one more big live show, but the odds of the band pulling off another BIG live show are slim to none at the moment, so seems like he may just be doomed to recording with the band.

333 - October 18, 2015

The Non-Filters shall be playing a downtown Lexington gig at 333 Short Street on Friday, November 13th.  A fundraiser for a cure for pancreatic cancer.  Be there.  It will be a good time.  Food and vendors and good music everywhere.

Salvisa Ruritan Days - September 7, 2015

The Non-Filters will be returning to one of their favorite gigs.  Mainstreet, Salvisa.  Not only is it a great show every year, but it is five minutes of backroads to Eric Baker's house.  After-party, anyone?

This year, The Non-Filters will be playing the role of opening act.  Not really a step down if you consider they are opening for an up-and-coming country superstar.  Josh Goodlett has been pushing his way up the charts in the last few months, and things look promising for him.  He is also a KY native.  The Non-Filters will take the stage around 6:00 pm, followed by Josh Goodlett around 9:00 pm.

See y'all there.

Trainwreck has been released - May 6, 2015

The Non-Filters long-awaited follow-up to 2012's Twin Hills has finally been released on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon, and all those other download stores.  The CD will be in stores next week.  Get it!

The Non-Filters to finally release Trainwreck Album - April 29, 2015

ZIP Records is proud to finally announce that the new Non-Filters album, Trainwreck, will be released in the next couple of days on iTunes, Amazon, and all those other download services.  The physical cd is pretty much ready to hit the streets, too, finally.  It is the follow up to the 2012 album, Twin Hills.  No active band should take three years to record and prepare an album for release, but The Non-Filters did it.  Was it worth the wait?  Yes.  Would it have been better to release it a year or less after Twin Hills?  Also yes.  That being said, it's great.  It's amazing.  Best songwriting ever by this group of guys.  Bill Shewmaker and Kipp Ballard, who both resigned in 2011 are both temporarily back for this release.  It's the first 4-piece album from the band since Civil Sobriety.

Salvisa Ruritan Days - April 26, 2015

The Non-Filters have officially signed on to perform at Salvisa Ruritan Days again.  It's always a great gig, and will be even better this year.  It is also Bike Night this year during The Non-Filters show.  Don't miss it.

Trainwreck - April 19, 2015

The Non-Filters new album titled Trainwreck, featuring past members Bill Shewmaker and Kipp Ballard, will be released very very soon.  The music is complete, editing, mixing, everything.  It's there.  Artwork is complete, but may be improved once more.  It will not delay the release.  A few administrative issues gotta be ironed out, then you will hear it.

The Rolling Stones - March 26, 2015

The Rolling Stones rocked the touring industry last week with billboards across the nation in cities rumored to be getting a show on a rumored summer tour. #SatisfactionThursday proved a disappointment to fans when nothing happened. But it is rumored to still be happening, only postponed by problems with the tour promoter AEG. Rumors are now running rampant that the opening act in Columbus, Nashville, and Indianapolis may be The Non-Filters. Stay tuned. These rumors may or may not have been started by The Non-Filters.

SEC Sports Pub and Grill - December 7, 2014

The Non-Filters will be returning to Lexington, KY next Saturday, after a long wait.  They have a few tricks up their sleeves to say the least.  It will be a show that will most likely re-write music history.  So if you're planning on majoring in music history, get ahead of the class by showing up.  December 13, 2014.

New Album completed - November 19, 2014

The follow up to 2012's "Twin Hill's Drive In" is finally finished.  Mixed.  Everything but the artwork.  It will be in stores by Thanksgiving so you can be thankful for it.  It will change your opinion of music in general.

The Non-Filters have added a suprise string of dates for the summer at The Alamo in Harrodsburg.  You wanna say something bad about the Alamo, you can answer to The Non-Filters.  We've got July 26, August 9, and August 30.  Gonna get wild.

Touring - April 17, 2014

Red Light District - April 10, 2014

Non-Filters drummer/vocalist will be playing with Red Light District at El Charro in Harrodsburg Saturday night at 9:00.  This is the first public appearance of a member of the band since January.  Eric Baker remains in hiding.  Come show your support.

Condolences to Jagger - March 17, 2014

The Non-Filters are feeling bad for one of their primary influences, Mick Jagger, in light of his girlfriend committing suicide.  So very sad.

Where Are You America?!!! - February 10, 2014

At the time of this writing, the Non-Filters's traffic counter is showing a whopping 54% of this month's website visits coming from China.  While we appreciate China's interest in the band very much, it kind of reflects badly on our home country, not to mention our hometown.  A band is not without honor, save for in their home county.

New Album Out Very Soon, weather permitting - February 2, 2014

The Non-Filters's studio is in the woods.  It takes a 4x4 with mud tires to get to the studio, or snow shows, or a dog-drawn sled.  All of The Non-Filters dogs are on strike.  They ain't pulling sleds.  If the band can get in, they'll have you an album by V-Day.  The groundhog says it's over, but we'll see.  Stay tuned.

Non-Filters sign to ZIP Records - January 19, 2014

The Non-Filters are now on the ZIP Records label.  The Non-Filters long-time producer, Shifty Caldwell, is President and CEO of the company.  The label has also signed country duo The Stragglers, r&b solo artist Mosquito, and the metal band Burning Hammer.  Other artists are expected to be signed.  ZIP Records is planning to re-release all The Non-Filters previous cds, possibly in deluxe editions with unheard tracks.

China - January 8, 2014

The Non-Filters want to thank their dedicated Chinese fans for making up 40% of the fan traffic so far this month, with the United States in second place with 30%.  Ukraine is in third place.  We welcome all of you.  Thanks for your support.

Long-Awaited Country Album - January 1, 2014

The Non-Filters long-time producer Shifty Caldwell told the press today that the band will finish and release their as-yet untitled country album 'within two months'.  Bill Shewmaker is allegedly very involved in the recording but will reportedly not return to the stage with the band.  "He's happier away from the camera flashes," Caldwell explained.

Rough Justice - December 12, 2013

Bad day in court. Kipp Ballard, Joel Marksbury, Russel Jenkins, and Gwen Stefani testified for Bill Shewmaker. Marshall Mathers, Jerry Mathers, and mike Tyson played the Non-Filters team. Gonna get nasty tomorrow!
